OCB Rank System
OCB Rank System
Here are the details of the Online Combat Battalion Rank System
Firstly it is important to specific what this system is, and what it isn’t.
What it is
The rank system is in place to recognise time in service, dedication to the unit, experience and service in specialised roles. For example, a member who has been in longer than another will probably be ranked higher than a newer member. A member, who holds a special duties role such as Recruiting Officer, may have a higher rank than someone of the same period of service due to their added responsibilities.
A member’s rank demonstrates to all their time in service, experience or special duties appointment. It is a form of recognition. So in essence, rank comes with time in service, dedication and is awarded to those with more experience and/or greater responsibilities.
What is isn’t
Rank is not awarded based on skill. If you are the worlds best gamer and can whip everyone every time, you’ll still be enlisted as a Recruit or Private.
It is not a strict rank system. You are not expected to do everything that a member of a higher rank orders you to do. However, when on the field, you are to follow the orders of your leaders, be that a unit, division, section or platoon commander. Members in those roles are experienced, and you should follow their orders for the good of the team, not because of the rank they hold, but because of the role they fulfil. If anyone has any questions about this, please feel free to contact Valour
