OCB Recruiting
BEFORE YOU APPLY BE ADVISED - OCB IS A TACTICAL GAMING UNIT. IN ARMA 2 WE TRAIN IN AND USE REALISTIC TACTICS, BATTLEFIELD PROCEDURES AND MILITARY RADIO PROTOCOLS. IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN BEING INVOLVED IN THIS TYPE OF OPERATIONAL STYLE - DO NOT APPLY TO JOIN!
IN OTHER GAMES WE DO NOT USE STRICT TACTICS, HOWEVER THERE IS AN EXPECTATION THAT MEMBERS WILL WORK AS PART OF A TEAM. WITHOUT TEAMWORK, THERE IS NO TEAM.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING THE AVIATION, ARMOUR OR SPECIAL FORCES ELEMENTS PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT SERVICE IN THE OCB INFANTRY IS REQUIRED BEFORE A TRANSFER TO ANOTHER UNIT IS POSSIBLE. A MINIMUM OF ONE MONTH OF SERVICE AS AN INFANTRY RIFLEMAN, ACTIVELY WORKING AS PART OF AN INFANTRY SECTION IS REQUIRED. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE 4 WEEK PROBATION PERIOD WHICH IS REQUIRED PRIOR TO AN ASSIGNMENT TO THE INFANTRY.
ENTRY DETAILS
- ALL members on enlistment are assigned to the Online Combat Battalion Training Platoon
- AFTER a four week assessment phase is completed they will be posted in an infantry platoon.
- During the four week assessment period new members must complete the infantry basic course.
Once an application is received it will be considered by all OCB Officers and a determination made on whether the application is accepted or not based on the information in the application, your level of activity on our server, whether or not you use team speak and whether or not you have a site account and use the forums. There may be a period of some weeks before you are notified of an outcome. There is a requirement to register an account on the OCB site AND have logged into it within 48 hours. If you do not do this your application will be rejected.
If offered enlistment, new members level of server, team speak and FORUM activity will be monitored. IF an applicant is NOT active in any of these areas they should NOT be suprised if their application is declined.
An ability to follow orders of your field commander in game will also be considered. If you want to play lone wolf and not as part of a team, I recommend another game.
