About OCB
The Online Combat Battalion [OCB] was created in June 2009 with the purpose of forming a group of mature minded players interested in military style games and tactical play. Since that time we have grown very quickly and currently enjoy very active tactical gaming.
OCB's primary focus is Arma II and Arma II Operation Arrowhead, although other games are entered into our line up from time to time if the members are interested in playing them. OCB is the largest and most active Arma group in Australasia, and a solid active community in it's own right. We are not associated or connected/affiliated with any other Arma clan or community. We simply see no need or benefit to our operations by involving ourselves with them. We also avoid all the immature politics, power struggles and bullshit that come with those types of communities.
We operate a number Arma II servers, for Arma II ACE 2 Mod + Other mods such as ANZAC mod, and an Operation Arrowhead Servers. We host our own server at a data centre and are not limited to slot numbers or server numbers. We can create as many as we need.
Many of our members are current serving or former members of Armed Forces mostly from Australia and New Zealand. The average age of members is 34.
OCB operates under solid administration and operational procedures and plays tactically in a variety of operational situations.
OCB's recruitment standards are high, and members are expected to maintain an active role in unit operations. They must also use voice communications (Team Speak) and follow orders in the field. There is a rank structure that is functional and a solid sub unit structure of leaders.
OCB also has sub units which are, two infantry platoons, an Aviation Squadron, a Recon element and a Cavalry troop in addition to Battalion Headquarters section.
