OCB organising an ARMA community donation to Legacy

It has been a sad week for the members of the Australian Defence Force, wives, children, family and friends of those diggers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in their service to the country over the past weeks. We will remember them!
As our way of assisting those left behind OCB is organising a donation to Legacy Australia in support of the families of those killed. We are asking all members of the wonderful community that is ARMA 2 and BFBC2 to consider dipping into your pockets for anything you can spare and donating. Please if you are able to assist you can transfer the donation to the following site set up for the donations. This money will strictly be used to donate to Legacy and no monies will be used for any other purposes.
We hope you will be able to support our diggers and their families and appreciate any amount large or small.

Recruiting InformationConsidering joining the Online Combat Battalion?A few tidbits of information before you send in a application may just help your cause. The OCB leadership team considers the integrity, ethics, honour and camaraderie of the group as top priority in any application. We look for a range of things that I will outline below for you. Yes this is just a game but we've worked hard to form the group we have and as such we do take applications seriously, so it may help to think of this as similar to a job application. We are looking for substance in your application, not just an application saying "Yeah I want to play tactical". So what do we consider? 1. Have you been a regular on our public server? 2. Do you work well in a team, show enthusiasm to team up and achieve objectives? 3. Do you use our team speak server and actually communicate? 4. Have you actually made an effort to tell us in your application why you want to join? 5. Have you made an effort to join the forum and post, even just to say hello? These are just some of the key elements we take into consideration and some things I would highly recommend you consider prior to sending in your application. Take the time to get to know our guys and you'll find us a dedicated bunch more than willing to help with any issues you may have related to our gaming.
Last Updated (Wednesday, 23 June 2010 18:28) New RankTo recognise long effective service of less than one year, a new rank has been created. This rank is called Private Proficient, or PTE P.
The rank consists of the Private's rank slide, incorporating a single bar in recognition of six months effective service. To be eligible for promotion to PTE P members must have served a minimum of six months of effective service. This means no long absences, regular attendance at training sessions, tac missions, general play and TS. This rank is not a leadership rank requiring leadership tasks, it is merely an indication of seniority and essentially an award for effective service. Long Service MedalThe life span of many online gaming groups is short, with the vast majority not seeing out the first year of operation. I'm pleased to say that OCB has stood the test of time so far, and has recently passed the one year mark. As far as gaming groups go, this is a major milestone. To mark the service of those who have stuck it out and remained members, the Long Service Medal (LSM) has been introduced. It is awarded to members who have served for a 12 month period. It is marked with the number of years served.
At its introduction, the following members are entitled to the LSM:
Valour Gooseneck
The LSM has been added to the member profile page of these members. Last Updated (Wednesday, 16 June 2010 23:57) More Enlist into the OCBPlease join me in welcoming our newest members.
