ATTENDEES:

CHARLIE SQUAD

Laurance: Squad Lead

Red5: M60

Gractus: Corpsman

BeatleBug: RTO

Ozone: Rifleman

HeadHunterz: AT

AFTER ACTION REPORT: JOINT OPERATION RED WING

Deployment:

Charlie squad was inserted via Helo to an LZ approximately 2 KM out of the first AO encountering no resistance en-route.

Commencement of first task:

Charlie squad met up with Bravo squad to discuss how to proceed to the first AO which was a clear and destroy mission. Charlie and Bravo moved separately to the AO bravo was fired upon first and Charlie came from the opposite side to suppress the enemy. There were no casualties during the capture of the area. All the huts were set ablaze and the area was razed. Charlie and Bravo squad were subsequently extracted via Helo to the next AO.

Commencement of the second task:

Charlie and Bravo were taken to an LZ approximately north of the next AO. Both Squads once again moved separately to the next AO with Bravo once again encountering the enemy first. Charlie squad approached from the flank surprising the enemy and subsequently destroying them with some friendlies injured we regrouped to medic ourselves and plan our next move, HQ was then radio'd and both squads were airlifted to RTB. Charlie was then briefed that they would move onto the next AO alone.

Commencement of third task:

Charlie was once again transported via Helo to the next LZ stopping approximately 800 meters away. Their mission was to secure the village and to sweep it for any unauthorized weapon cache, none was found but due to communication issues the village was burnt down anyway. HQ was once again radio'd and informed of the situation and Charlie was assigned to another task.

Commencement of fourth task:

Charlie squad was tasked to recon an area with a large amount of enemy presence that was due to be taken by allied forces. During landing into the LZ via Helo it was found to be hot and fire was taken from the enemy, Charlie was then taken 300 meters away from the initial LZ and they decided to clear the LZ. It was then cleared and was held awaiting reinforcements by both Alpha and Charlie squads. Once both squads had arrived the directive had been changed to take the city that was originally being scouted out. A large scale mission had then taken place with Laurance taking fire and fainting on the battlefield to then be picked up by Alpha squad. There was large resistance by the enemy culminating in several casualties on either side with BeatleBug also taking fire and being revived once again by Alpha squad. The city was taken and all Squads returned to base via Helo extract for debriefing.

General Points:

Mission was extremely well made and the various tasks were fun and well done.

HQ was well organised and tasking was done in a fast and clean manner meaning there was not much downtime between mission tasking.

Sometimes during intense parts of the mission server frames would drop but then would pick back up again to no detriment to the immersion.

All squads worked well together and helped each other where needed and maintained contact through radio comms where needed.

Target identification was well done and no friendly fire was done by or to Charlie squad.

All missions planned with other squads was well executed and well planned.

Leadership:

Laurance was squad leader.

Honorable Mentions:

  • BeatleBug did an awesome job as RTO and had good radio procedure culminating in easy to understand Communications with HQ. He also did a good job leading when Laurance could not.
  • Psyfox came into a squad with people he did not know but did a great job getting along with everyone.

Was fun abusing you every step of the way. You make a good Squad Lead but next time stay away from the nutella.

Sincerely, your RTO (Radio shit-Talk Officer)

Beatle

Also, no war crimes were committed. You have no witnesses. Those Villagers were soo much [redacted].

I feel like both Laurance and Beatle deserve a commendation for their actions during Redwing maybe a Community badge or something to show they have done well representing OCB.
